Hooked is a short, hand-painted game about phone distraction, everyday routines, and the attention we give away without noticing.

Spend a day in your room, watering plants in the morning, cooking lunch at noon, and writing in the evening. It sounds simple, until your phone keeps interrupting.

Notifications compete for your attention, checking your phone makes the day slip by faster, and your surroundings change as your character's mood worsens. Can you stay focused long enough to finish what you started?

Created for a mental health game jam, Hooked invites you to pause and think about how much space a small screen takes up in your life.

Features

  1. Three minigames built around everyday activities.
  2. Phone notifications that interrupt your routine.
  3. Hand-painted artwork that changes with your character's mood.
  4. An ending that reflects on the time you spent on your phone.

Oh, and it seems I'm horrible at cooking. This is very hurtful to my sense of self worth.

Beautiful game! The artstyle is amazing, the scope ambitions for a 2 day Jam, but extremely well done!

I did have trouble starting the game, the unity bar just sat there not moving. But that down to my browser probably.

EDIT: After managing to start, I have to say this is a great little game. I love the mechanics and they way they are connected to the theme of the game.

Really lovely game! The visuals are amazing!

I really love the spooky atmosphere of this game! It kinda reminds me of The Visitor, which I absolutely love!
